My time in the ITMA program has went by quickly. I must admit that I thought two years would never end and that I would not be able to complete my Master’s. I was not sure that I had the stamina AND the willpower to utilize my time properly to make assignment dates and complete professional and family needs in a proper and well-organized manner. As I reflect on the process, I have become a bit reluctant in wanting to finish! Now that I know how the online lessons work and I have been able to use my time properly, I am a bit surprised at my ability to manage it all – successfully. Throughout it all I have been glad that the courses have provided me with new and surprising opportunities to use technology while also perfecting my classroom techniques and decorum. I did not have any undemanding of the ITMA program when I first began because when I was in college the courses were all in the school of education and were part of the process in attaining my teaching degree. As I viewed the courses and read more about the program, I realized the potential positives that I would be able to use in my classroom and in my teaching methods. I quickly began using these methods as I looked at my approach to attaining goals and objectives. My techniques were outdated and a bit clunky. With these newer methods used and the vision that I have been able to glean from my ITMA progress, I consider myself an Instructional Technologist.
I am appreciative of the opportunity that has been given to me to endeavor to learn, to try, and to proudly represent this program in the field that made me who I am today. I am a musician-educator with newly obtained skills and techniques that will enable me to offer insight, tactics, and strategies that I will carry with me into my teaching, my playing, and my workplace.
Here is a Reflections on Technology. When I first began working with technology and now after I have spent time learning more about the different aspects and finer details of what Technology is to me.
This artifact is about a reflection on Applying IT. This was first viewed in the classroom but since learning more about the different aspects of technology and how it is used in education and teaching, the classroom is beyond the brick and mortar schoolhouse.
This is a reflection of my current practices as a teacher in regards to Design, Development, Utilization, Management and Evaluation. Reflection of Future Implications This is a reflection of future uses and views of my skills obtained through the ITMA program and it's courses. The reflection presents personal growth in areas that will effect my classroom and teaching styles for the future. The word efficiency is a keyword in this reflection as I begin noticing my transformation to a more efficient teaching style and it's dividend both at home and with my students.
